Love: Feng Shang Princess, Regent’s Canal
“Feng Shang Princess is a favourite – we had our wedding lunch there. It’s located on a canal boat, moored close to Camden, and has been run by the same family and had the same menu ever since I can remember. The food is always good, not fussy, very comforting. There’s a sort of lost world feel to the place – a mix between Paris and the Titanic – and there is something magical about spotting a family of swans floating by, post dinner.”

Love: Fonda, Soho
“We are both obsessed with Mexican food, but still haven't managed to get ourselves to CDMX. So in lieu of that, Fonda is the next best thing. Ask for a table downstairs and don't skip the Rhubarb Paloma!”

Love: Berenjak, Borough
“Our date night pick is Berenjak. It has the cosiest, buzziest atmosphere and hands down serves the best Persian food we’ve had in London. If you head over a little earlier at the weekend, it’s fun to wander around Borough Market and grab a drink nearby before dinner.”

Love: Tony’s Pizza, Brighton
“This is by far our favourite spot right now; the place to be without feeling at all pretentious. The pizza is the best we’ve ever tasted – the New York/London style is always crisp and beautifully topped with the freshest ingredients. The staff are lovely and the open kitchen brings a great energy to the space, while casual candlelit tables create the perfect date-night atmosphere.”

Love: Duck Soup, Soho
“Our perfect date night restaurant is Duck Soup. We chose it for our final date night before becoming parents, just days before our son was born. You’re guaranteed a delicious seasonal meal that’s not trying too hard. Whatever you do, don’t miss the bread and labneh!”

Love: Arlington, St James’
“Date nights are fewer and further between since having a ‘small’ at home, so we like to make sure it’s a good one when we do indulge. A failsafe evening involves meeting in St James’ after work for martinis at Duke’s, and then a hop down the road for dinner at Arlington. It is intimate, cool and sexy not pretentious, and the service is always perfect, often led by Jeremy King himself. The food is always delicious; we like to eat steak tartare and chips, sitting at the bar – it’s much more fun than the formality of sitting across from each other.”
